There are a lot of great photographers sharing content on Youtube that demonstrate their craft using LR, but I rarely if ever run into issues reproducing the same effects in ACDSee. There's no where near as much tutorial content as LR/PS however principles of photo editing and basic functionality is exactly the same.

I have found the Help system plus trial and error easy enough. Seems like not many people are interested in this software.īad for learning more, beyond trial and error. As 95% of the stuff on Youtube is crap in the first place, I never visit there. ACDSee is a small player in the photo editing universe, so not a lot of 3rd party support. What i don't like is, that there are almost no actual videos on youtube. On their homepage i've only searched for tutorials and videos, the community was not in my focus so far, i will look there later.Īgreed, I only go to the Community as a last resort. But for export ACDSee does have an option to create the needed "sidecar" change files. The change data is filed within the ACDSee database, not the original image file. The changes (for the most part) are non-destructive. The ACDSee knowledge base can help with this. So how the cataloging is working and where it saves the changes made to the pictures. I've already played around with the switches for developement.īut what i'm really interested in, is how the program works "behind the scenes".
